I just recently had this problem, too. On the USER EDIT screen, clicking “Choose from Media Library” takes me to the top of the page.

I don’t have any plugin conflicts – I checked. Is this a new bug in the plugin?

@mossifer I just tested this on WordPress 5.5.3 and Simple Local Avatars 2.2.0 in Firefox 82.0.2 by creating a new user, editing their account to add an avatar, and everything proceeded as expected. I tested this with an admin, editor, author, contributor, and subscriber account. Can you provide some more details on your set up by sharing your Site Health Info export and browser version? Also, can you check to see if there are any browser console errors or anything else that may help us troubleshoot this for you?

Hm I just noticed that the USER AVATAR field is showing up twice in the user edit screen. The first one works and the second one does not. I have to troubleshoot why it’s displaying twice and see if that is the issue. Probably so.

Okay, I figured it out. Paid Memberships Pro gave me a code recipe to put Simple User Avatars on the front edit PROFILE EDIT SCREEN. It shows up once on the front end for the user, but in the Admin Panel, that code recipe makes it show up twice. I’ll discuss with them. In the meantime, the FIRST instance actually does work so I’ll use that.

    Thanks!
