I did a search to see if anyone else posted this interview and didn’t find anything. Sorry if it has been posted and I didn’t search good enough. My main reason for posting it is because the WordPress developers are given kudos by the spammer! This interview was done live and can be downloaded in WMA or listen to it via MP3 here. Too all the developers, support experts, and plugin programmers, way to go! You’ve all made WP the easiest and most secure blogging program available.

It saddens me sometimes when people raise the spam problem that Matt doesnt always get the credit he deserves for not only his fabulous programming skills, but he is probably the worlds leading advocate and industry leader in anti spam. And then some. He does a lot of work in this area. And we get the benefits.

I wouldn’t trust a spammer as far as I could throw em, and I couldn’t throw one very far. I wouldn’t want a spammer endorsing a product to say it’s the best anti-spamming system out there as it would encourage more divs to decide to have a go, plus there’s also that credibility fact – WordPress – endorsed by spammers as being spam free. Doesn’t quite work:)

Still WP does have the most active community for fighting spam, and it is a pretty robust system when the right settings are…set.

Jinsan, you should listen to the interview. He didn’t endorse it per-say, nor did he call it the best anti-spamming system out there. The interview is worth the time it takes to listen to it.
