Chrome – CSS for background color not working for radio buttons & check boxes

Hi Kimberly are you trying to change the background color of the form or the fields? If it is the fields what css code are you using?

I’m trying to change the background color of the radio button and check box button input to white to match the text field input areas — white. Here’s what I have:

Styles > input checkbox fields > width:13px;background-color:#FFFFFF;

Styles > input radio fields > width:13px;background-color:#FFFFFF;

Can you try and add the style to the actual Field in the following areas Label CSS and Input CSS?

Yes, I should have included that in my first post. I did add it to the input CSS. Since I have the entire form shaded, I didn’t use it for the label CSS or my text background doesn’t match. It’s very strange because all of the text fields and text-area fields are working in Chrome fine. It’s just the checkbox and radio button ones that are being quirky.

Can you try and test one of WordPress default themes like Twenty Fourteen?

Thanks. Yes, I did that. Tested Twenty Fourteen and it behaved the same way.

Hi there is only one more action you can take. Can you disable all your other plugins except this one and carry out another test.

Yes, I tried that. I deactivated all plugins and tried the Twenty Fourteen theme. Still the same result.

I have sent a message to @mike Challis the plugin author.

If you have a cache plugin you have to empty the cache when making edits.
The styling of checkboxes and radio buttons is more complex than just background color.

I am not a css expert and will not be able to support telling you how to it. Because i don’t know, sorry. The ability to change the css is there, so you can do it if you want. Good luck
