Chrome Extension

  • I cannot find an installable version of the Chrome Extension. Also, the selected category(s) don’t come over to the post.

    Regarding the Chrome extension: Work on this part of the project has been indefinitely postponed. You’re welcome to check out the GitHub repository, where you may be able to finagle an installable version: https://github.com/PressForward/PressForwardChromeExtension

    Regarding the category issue, you’ll have to provide more info. Are you referring to items posted via the Nominate This bookmarklet, or those coming in through an RSS feed? At what point are the categories being “selected”? And when you say “they don’t come over to the post”, do you mean that they do not appear once you’ve advanced an item from Nominated to Posts?

    I think I have had categories selected using the bookmarklet but when they get into WordPress it is a different category that is designated. Also, when I delete the pre-populated tag “via bookmarklet” it still comes in as a tag that I have to delete (it keeps adding it as a tag in WordPress). A couple of times I’ve had a post add a slew of tags but I haven’t seen that recently.

    Thank you for those details. I can confirm that categories are not coming through the nomination flow, at least in some cases. I’ve opened a ticket to track the issue: https://github.com/PressForward/pressforward/issues/1133
