Chrome extension for convenient use of WP STAGING

Hi WP STAGING developers.

I have recently begun working with WP STAGING and I find it very useful in most aspects. However, linking between pages in the staging site is unpredictable, to put it mildly. Sometimes I am directed to the corresponding page in the published site, and sometimes I get a Not Found error. Your troubleshooting guide has a lot of suggestions for fixing this, but I find them cumbersome and not always effective. Instead, I have written a very tiny Chrome extension that can switch between a page in the staging site and the corresponding published page – and vice versa. Using this, issues with linking between pages in the staging site can be rather easily circumvented, without having to reconfigure the site.

We noticed you’ve developed a Chrome extension to address permalink structure issues on a staging site. While we appreciate your initiative,? we recommend following our official documentation on how to activate post name permalinks here:?How to Activate Permalinks on a Staging Site.

For security and privacy reasons we usually do not recommend third party chrome extensions as we have no insights into the code and don’t know what data is collected.

We also like to ask you that you add something like this to the description of your chrome extension:

Thank you for your reply. I have complied with your request to include the disclaimer in the description on Chrome Web Store. For the sake of transparency, I have also uploaded the complete code to this Google Drive folder. From there, it is evident that no user data are collected in any way (this was also declared in my submission to Chrome Web Store). The extension is really very tiny –?its main file contains some 60 lines of code, and it dosen’t do anything else than what is stated in the video.
