Chrome Lighthouse Audit Fails

  • Running the Chrome Lighthouse Audit over my site highlights the social links created by this plugin as being unsafe.

    The message from the audit is:
    Links to cross-origin destinations are unsafe
    Add rel="noopener" or rel="noreferrer" to any external links to improve performance and prevent security vulnerabilities.

    How can I fix this? Or is this something that you need to do and release a new version?

    Thanks for reporting this.

    The developers checked and apparently there’s no security risk involved.

    Making those changes will affect the current behavior of the plugin. We’ll put it on our list of future enhancements.
