I am just recapping our e-mail conversation here, so that it might help other users later.

Chromecast works well with FV Player on Windows and Android devices. However, it is actually impossible to use Chromecast to cast Chrome on iOS. At least not using the official apps, that is.

The way the Google Home app lets you cast from iOS is by linking a very limited list of well-known media apps to your Home app (YouTube, Netflix, Google Play Music etc.). Casting chrome is not supported so far.

We apologize for this inconvenience, we will try to look for possible ways to support it, but it seems these restrictions are well beyond our power.

However, FV player does also feature support for Apple’s AirPlay.
