Church News Display selected categories

    Is there any way to show the Church News widget or recent posts widget to display only some categories not all categories.

    Hi,
    The core Recent Posts widget that is available in WordPress does not include such a feature.
    As the theme doesn’t have its own widgets, it means that this is not possible without a third-party plugin.

    Thanks for your reply. I m very new to wordpress so I m not familiar with how to add extension.

    I’ve found an article here that the lastest post widget can actually select specific cateogries. Is it not the same widget that the faith theme using?

    Hello Ben,
    Faith does not come with any custom widgets. It comes with some CSS styling for the core Recent Posts widget, but it doesn’t change the output or the markup in any way.
    As I said before, and as the linked article mentions, you would have to use a third-party plugin if you want a different kind of widget.
