I hoped that if the plugin was compatible with WPMU, it shoud be with WP 3.0 Multisite, but seems that some references has changed, right ?

I will change the harcoding till the plugin is fully compatible with 3.0 MS.

I just added $wp_version = '3.0'; to the top of the plugin file. That variable is no longer defined in the latest wordpress and seemed to be what was causing the issues.

I see the same problem and even fixed the path issues….I wanted to add extra fields during signup and its not coming up still….it was working awesome when my wpmu version was 2.9.2…please help!!

I ran into the same thing cimy doesn′work anymore.
I tried $wp_version = ‘3.0’; in the cimy_user_extra_fields.php
And get still an error.

I tried to change the 177 line in cimy_user_extra_fields.php

I need some help, too. The above just isn’t making sense, isn’t working. I started with WP 3.0, not an update from a previous version. So I don’t have an old mu-plugins folder. I want the ‘unique’ setup, where all sub-sites of a 3.0 ‘network’ have the same registration, showing several custom fields. I just can not get it to work with the instructions provided at the top here. Can anyone offer any help?

I’m sorry, I posted the fix earlier incorrectly. It’s not wp_version it’s
$wpmu_version = '3.0';

That did *seem* to do the trick.

However, I’ve created several required extra fields for registration, but after I enter in all the information, activate the membership and login, none of the information is there (in the admin area)! The fields are all there, but empty.

Hmmm, i’m using WP 3.0 setup as a ‘network’, which is like the old MU version. In non-network setup, clicking a ‘register’ link takes you to the wp-login.php?action=register. But in ‘network’ mode, that gets re-directed to wp-signup.php.

What I’ve found is that when I register, the new, User Extra Fields info is dumped into the meta field of the table named ‘signups’. With a ‘normal’, non-network installation of WP, the data for the extra fields goes into a table named cimy_uef_data. But I can’t figure out how to correct that.

Let me clarify that: Using wp-signup.php, I can’t figure out how to correctly get the user extra fields info into the correct table, cimy_uef_data.

ok, there is an instruction near the bottom of the readme.txt that I didn’t see:

Per-Blog registration
If you want that every single Blog can define its own Extra Fields then you should choose this installation.
Every registration will have Extra Fields defined by single blogs, every user will have anyway WordPress fields shared with ALL Blogs, this how it works WordPress MU.
* unpack the package under ‘plugins’ directory; BE sure that cimy_uef_mu_activation.php is installed under ‘mu-plugins’ directory * then every single blog will have it under “Plugins” section
