Circle in a specific position.

I hope somebody can help me, I am trying to put the circle in a specific location, I followed the instruction in this old conversation
But the answer that alchymyth gave, he wrote some code to add in the funtion.php and other in the style.css. because he didn’t specify if those change should be in the child theme. I create a child theme folder and put them in it.
But my page and the access to wp disappears, so I am not sure what is my problem.
In addition my circles are my pages, and I don’t know if that is part of the problem.
