Citation truncated when using csl

I just updated the CSL code – using a different way to retrieve the CSL files, updating the CSL formatting code and testing it with APA6.
Could you please try again – and if the code still fails, send me an example of a document that does not work (document meta data and CSL formatting output).

Unfortunately – that does not work either.

Page numbers are not added and some parts of the text are truncated. Here is an example:

On Mendeley it says:

Factors affecting the normalization of CALL in Chinese senior high schools
Bi He, Nattaya Puakpong, Andrew-Peter Lian (2013)
Computer Assisted Language Learning (June 2013) p. 1-13

In the plugin it says:

He, B., Puakpong, N., & Lian, A. -P. (2013). Factors affecting the normalization of CALL in Chinese senior high schools. doi:10.1080/09588221.2013.803981

In this case, no page numbers.

Since the document is not public in Mendeley, could you please provide me with the document type? I assume that there is a problem matching document types that makes the CSL formatter using a template without page numbers. You can find the document type in the details window in your Mendeley client.

Seems like the correct thing – the apa fails with the zotero style file – and used to fail with the one supplied with the plugin… but I have not tried that one with the updated plugin.

Sorry to do this to you but…

In the past I was able to use the harvard1.csl style to give a reasonable citation style with all the necessary information, now the name of the Journal is no longer visible. If I remove citation style, all the information is there but in the wrong order.

Any thoughts??

As a followup. I now notice that no matter what csl file I use (supplied by you or supplied by zotero) the name of the journal is not there. If I remove the csl file completely then the information appears. Sorry I did not notice this earlier – I guess I was really happy at the fact that the tag filter was working and this detail escaped me.

This happens in the peer-reviewed/refereed section of my publications and the documents are all identified as “Journal article”. The request looks like this:

[mendeley type=”own” sortby=”year” sortorder=”desc” filter=”tag=refereed” csl=”https://gocultures.com/cstyles/modern-language-association.csl” ]

Turning the cache on and off seems to make no difference.

A typical article used to look like this (I made a copy for a paper CV):

Lian, A.-P., 2011. Reflections on Language Learning in the 21st Century: the Rhizome at Work. Rangsit Journal of Arts and Sciences, 1(1), pp.3-15.

I found the problem – In an update of the CSL formatting engine the mapping of attribute names was broken (PHP does not support attribute names / object attributes with dashes in the name – which CSL needs). Should work now.

It looks like all the problems have been resolved – the APA citations are now appearing correctly. THANK YOU!
