    Hello!

When I type anything into the “city” form a scrolling circle appears on the right side of the form box and the drop down menu never populates.

I’m trying to find the city code for Boise, Idaho, USA or Eagle, Idaho, USA. Can you please let me know which location code I should use? I’d like to use the shortcode, so it’s okay if the widget doesn’t work correctly.

Also, is there a way to use a custom photograph as the background image?

I did update the plug in today to the newest version and it’s still not working.

    Thanks in advance!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hello cradcliffe,

Thanks for using our widget, and for the detailed report on your issue.

    1. Here are the closest codes for Eagle, ID:
Boise, ID – code is 2349204
Meridian, ID – code is 2349339
Star, ID – code is 2349425

    2. It matters to us that drop down system works on every website : )
In the new version (1.1.0), users can select preferred weather location.

Can you please temporarily add the widget to footer or sidebar, and post a link where the widget is implemented, so we can examine the “drop down issue”.
(option for users to override preset weather location is not available for shortcode implemented widget)

    3. At the moment there’s not an option for a custom photograph as the background image, but your suggestion will be taken into consideration for future updates.

Thank you for the quick response!

I tried the following short code and it’s still coming up as New York for some reason:

    [shortcode-weather-atlas city_selector=”2349339″ header=”Eagle, Idaho” layout=”horizontal” background_color=”#99cc00″ daily=”5″]

    1. We’ve tested the code, and widget shows up just fine.

Just in case, test with straight quotes >> ”

    [shortcode-weather-atlas city_selector="2349339" header="Eagle, Idaho" layout="horizontal" background_color="#99cc00" daily="5"]

Can you post a link to the page with the shortcode widget, please?

    2. Regarding drop-down, we’ve found the page:
    https://eaglehillsgolfcourse.com/2017/wordpress-resources-at-siteground/

There seems to be an issue of sending JSONP requests from HTTPS site (https://eaglehillsgolfcourse.com) to HTTP site (https://www.weather-atlas.com/).

    We’ll keep you updated…

    Hi,

    1. I’ve seen that shortcode works fine on your home page.

    2. the drop down issue is related to sending JSONP requests from HTTPS site (https://eaglehillsgolfcourse.com) to HTTP site (https://www.weather-atlas.com/)

This should be sorted within days, please don’t remove the widget from https://eaglehillsgolfcourse.com/2017/wordpress-resources-at-siteground/
so we can test if the issue is solved.

    Hello again,
the drop down issue should be sorted.

Can you please try to select the city?
(as a user or in admin panel – both should work)

Unfortunately, the issue was on our side, but we’ve managed to fix it quickly. Most importantly, now everything works fine.
