    Hi rjbotman,

    Thanks for your message.
Although we are currently not proactive with CJT free support at this stage, we are listening and taking notes of issues and bugs.

Maybe try refreshing your browser cache, disable plugins to see if there is a clash going on with another plugin, or downgrade back to version 7.2

    Kind Regards,
    Damian

i have been using your plugin on many sites for years – i am able to duplicate this issue over and over as i went through sites updating them – the solution is to open up a tab with the CSS/JS admin screen/editor BEFORE you update from 7.x to 8. then after you update, create a new code block in the tab that was open before the update, that seems to solve the issue of the blank screen. there is 1 site where i didn’t do this and i’m stuck with the blank screen unfortunately.

    *duplicate post*

    This is a cache issue.

i disagree. i have gone through and updated about 20 sites this past weekend – all of which had version 7.x of the plugin installed. over and over and i was able to recreate the same issue. but if i opened a tab with CJT admin prior to upgrading to version 8, and then used that tab to create a new block after the update, the problem is solved. however if i don’t i am stuck with a blank page in the admin with only the “CSS & Javascript Toolbox” title and the error in the console i noted earlier. I recreated this over and over again this weekend. each time it seems as if the upgrade did not take me through the normal process of updating through the CJT installation page. i tried clearing cache and different browsers and am still stuck with a blank screen in admin for one of the sites i updated before figuring out the work around.

one thing to note – the stored blocks are preserved, they still are executed on the website but the admin page does not allow me to edit or view any of the saved blocks. any suggestions?

Are you sure you don’t have a Performance/Cache Plugin caching your old javascript/styles?

There is another user https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/cant-install-54?replies=18 had the same issue. It created by a Performance Plugin that cache old js/css in a cloud server.

BTW: There is no installation process for the latest CJT version. The database is not changed and no installation required. Once the new files uploaded to the server and the cache is refreshed the Plugin would act like before and even if you upload the Old Plugin version it would work too. Only the Code in the files is changed

unfortunately not due to caching, like i mentioned this happened time and time again this weekend – every site with all different combinations of plugins, some with caching some without. i consistently reproduced this bug and solved it with this hack i noted above across a wide variety of sites/server configs. is there somewhere i can download version 7.x?

you can download any previous version from WordPress Repository:

    https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/css-javascript-toolbox/developers/

For version that required database upgrade CJT doesn’t support Downgrading. You can use version 7.2 but I don’t recommend to get lower than that.

thanks, just downgraded to 7.2 and all is well again. definitely something up with the upgrading though, like i said saw this same thing happen over and over again on multiple wordpress installs.

    Temporary good.

Currently Plugin owner is stopped being support for Community as we’re struggling keeping developing CJT.

Once we get back again into development track we will consider those issue.

    I will let you know.

it’s a wonderful tool, i’ve been using it for years! thank you

It was a caching issue for me.
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, as well as closing and reopening the browser, but neither worked.
It wasn’t until I clicked on the page refresh button 5 or 6 times quickly that it came up.
