clalculate shipment does not calculate

  • So i have been trying to add shipment classes.
    Since i will have several products with small to large weights.
    I need to be able to have the different classes working.

    what ive done is this.
    Since i read about bugs i had to destroy the look of the site for testing. wich kinda sucks but hell with it. So iam using storefront as a theme.

    Woocommerce/settings/shipment

    i have added shipment classes
    lets call them
    1
    2
    3
    4
    5

    In shipmentsettings
    Under “calculations”: I have clicked the box for aktivate shippment calculator in shoppingbasket

    (i read on some support thread that its bugged so i hafto 1 change theme to storefront or twentysomething or what ever its called. and nothing worked still)

    and under “deliveryadress” As standard to customer adress.

    In my deliveryzone, i have an flatrate set and inside that flatrate
    i have these settings.

    taxstatus taxed
    price :39

    And under freight class shipment i have my classes i added earlier.

    1 (with the cost of that particular shipment) 100
    2 (with the cost of that particular shipment) 200
    3 (with the cost of that particular shipment) 300
    4 (with the cost of that particular shipment) 400
    5 (with the cost of that particular shipment) 500

    Calculationmethod:Per class: charge fee for every seperate shipmentclass

    After ive done this ive gone into 2 or the products, to test this out.
    Product 1 is under 1kg and i give that product the shipment class 1.
    Product 2 is over 10kg and i give that product the shipment class 3.

    after every little keypress i update(save).

    So i have added 1000 products that weighs 1 kg each. that would be 1 ton about.
    But the shipment says i only pay for 1 product that weighs 1 kg.

    Hi there!

    Can you update to WooCommerce 3.4.3 to see if you’re still getting that issue?

    I’d highly recommend making sure you have a backup before updating, or ideally trying this on a test/staging site first.

    If you are, can you send us screenshots of your shipping settings under WooCommerce > Settings > Shipping > Shipping Zones? We’ll need the screenshot of the zone’s settings, then the settings within the method selected (showing the rates and options). Thanks!

    So i updated. It is still calculating 1 product.

    What i do is i add 100 1kg products And that would be 100kg and its shipment would be xxx. But again it only uses shipment for 1 product.

    The issue here is that your flat rates are static. No matter how many of the quantity of the product you have, it will only ever charge the one flat fee based on the flat rate you set.

    If you want to multiply each flat rate cost by quantity, you would want to setup something like this: X * [qty], where X is the cost of the flat rate (more info here: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/flat-rate-shipping/)

    Keep in mind though that this would not allow products to change tiers (ex: Product 1 is under 1kg and you gave that product the shipment class 1, but if 5 of them are purchased and they weigh around 5kg, it won’t move it to a different class, just multiple the flat rate cost by 5). If you want to do that, then you’d need a plugin like this to do it: https://www.woocommerce.com/products/table-rate-shipping/

    well it does and it does not. the information tells me to not use woocommerce. Cause the price is too steep. 100bux for that is not worth it.
