• I am fairly new to WordPress. Bluehost hosts my site, and it is my understanding that they would not provide any technical support regarding my my WordPress site and any issues regarding my site’s theme and any of the functionality for my blog.

However, every time I attempt to access support, WordPress asks that I log on via my webhosting provider, so I have been unsuccessful in finding a solution.

Any help, advice and/or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance!

  • I will need a little more clarification on this one.

It is true that Bluehost doesn’t do any type of custom coding or anything similar. However, they will help you troubleshoot not being able to login, resetting passwords, etc.

How are you trying to access support? Opening a chat, or an email? Through the cPanel?

Exactly what problem are you trying to solve? I don’t see any other questions that you’ve posted on these forums, so I’m wondering which support you’ve been accessing.

There may be some solutions which require you to logon to your host, for example, making a change to the wp-config.php file when setting up WordPress for the very first time. In those cases, your host should have some sort of interface that you can run (an application like cPanel as @voldermortensen mentioned, or some other sort of control panel page) that allows you to edit the files on your host. Your host should be able to tell you how to access that application, and what sort of credentials (like a user name and password) that you need to access it.
