I’m working on a new project and I’m trying to get WPMS install options clear in my head before getting too far down the road.

Is it possible to do a NEW WPMS install into a subdirectory on an EXISTING WP install?

This would in effect segregate the original WP site in the root from a second (completely separate and independent) WPMS install in a subdirectory.

So my root WP site would be let’s say: https://www.mywpsite.com

And my WPMS install root in the “marketplace” subirectory of the main WP site would be be: https://www.mywpsite.com/marketplace/

And a new network blog called “somenewuser” (in a WPMS subdirectory network install setup) would be: https://www.mywpsite.com/marketplace/somenewuser/

Am I gettin’ it? ?? or no?

The reason I’m hoping to do it this way is so I can add the WPMS install at a later date AND completely preserve the original WP install as a totally independent site. Make sense?
