• Hi

I’ve installed the Pro version and now have a list of fonts in use on my site, but I’m seeing six different sections under Manage Optimized Fonts, e.g. Stylesheet handle: pro-merged-75, Stylesheet handle: pro-merged-90, etc.

I’m not clear on what these different sections are or represent, and some fonts are listed across multiple sections. Why would I tick to load a font in one section over another?

    Thanks for any info/pointers.

    Hi Steve!

Sure! As opposed to OMGF, OMGF Pro merges all stylesheets into one (pro-merged.css) to save requests.

When set to Automatic mode, it gives the stylesheet a unique identifier, e.g. pro-merged-75.css and applies on each page using the same Google Fonts.

Once it detects a different combination of Google Fonts, it creates a new stylesheet with another unique identifier. It also applies this stylesheet on each page using that identical configuration of Google Fonts.

To be clear, it never loads the two stylesheets on a page.

So basically each stylesheet represents the different configurations of Google Fonts you use throughout your site.

The best way to configure each stylesheet, is to browse through your site with Developer tools (F12) active in the Network tab. That way you can identify which stylesheet is used where and which fonts to un-/preload.

    Hope it helps!

Btw. If you want to force the same configuration throughout your site, it’s best to use Manual mode. Manual mode forces that one stylesheet to be loaded on each page.
