The first error also showed up on another site on my server with go-daddy but just in the header area of the site and the rest of the page loaded normally. These errors are random in occurrence thus far, but not sure what the cause, but started after update to 4.5 but I did update over a week ago, but because of how random they are maybe the error has always been their since updating. Daddy said its a WordPress file so its a WordPress issue, so now I am reaching out to hopefully figure out why these warning show up and how to resolve them.

If you need anymore info let me know, and thanks in advance!

  • How can I check if I currently have the issue?

I see this error in the description snippet on a Google search results page but I don’t know if this is from an old index since the webpage seems to be working normally. https://onthegridagency.com/

    ****** SOLUTION *********

This fixed the symptom but not the root of the problem, which is something on the Godaddy Managed WordPress side.

I got this fix after several hours with GD support. As mentioned above there is a problem with the GD caching feature, until they fix it you can do this!

SOLUTION (for Godaddy Managed WordPress Sites):

    1) FTP into your wp-content folder
    2) rename “object-cache.php” to “object-cache-DISABLED.php”
    3) flush your site cache using the GD menu function at the top of your WP admin CP
    4) get a beer

The more sites you have to fix, the more beers you will need.
    Happy hacking!

I followed KarlAlexander-VQZ’s solution (as having GoDaddy do their deep cache flush did not clear up my Yoast sitemap issue completely).

I skipped the beer – I am on the clock ??

    So far, all is fine.

Eventually GoDaddy will be reactivating caching, so I will continue to follow this thread.

    thanks KarlAlexander-VQZ!
    it works for me.

SOLUTION (for Godaddy Managed WordPress Sites):

    1) FTP into your wp-content folder
    2) rename “object-cache.php” to “object-cache-DISABLED.php”
    3) flush your site cache using the GD menu function at the top of your WP admin CP

    follow-up

Renaming the object-cache.php file worked for me as well for the Yoast SEO sitemap issue. However, I had to hit the GD flush cache and toggle the Yoast SEO sitemaps on/off a few times for it to finally work.

All good now, but I plan to keep an eye on it.

This worked for me. It’s now been several months since I renamed it to “object-cache-DISABLED”. Does anyone know if I can revert back to the original file name and all will work hunky dory? My site is running really slow. I’m not sure if reenabling it will help with this.

    Thanks!

Just updated plugins and all is well!

This just happened to one of my sites. saw the same error on mobile only with WP 4.7.1 on godaddy. In your managed dashboard there’s a godaddy menu. There’s an option to flush the cache. That worked without calling support.

Hope this helps somebody. this thread definitely helped me.

Just got a notice of this on my site as well. WP 4.7.1 with managed wordpress from GD. I tried to flush from GD and our CDN. the front end of the site seems fine can’t find or seem to reproduce any of the errors, but our sitemap still is showing up with the errors.

GD account portal is down currently so I dont know if that has anything to do with it or not. Support stated something about maintenance updates. Anyways I will try the FTP approach to disable that plugin.

SOLUTION: To fix this is simple. In the wp-content folder just rename object-cache.php to object-cache.php.BAK or anything else and that’s it.
