Hi, the site appears to be running PHP 5.6.40, not 7.3.12, which is why you are seeing this error. SLB 2.8.0 requires PHP 7.2+, so earlier PHP versions are not supported.

I would recommend confirming the site’s PHP version meets SLB’s requirements. If you are still experiencing this issue after updating PHP to a supported version, please provide a link to a page that displays the site’s PHP version (e.g. via phpinfo() or similar), and I would be glad to take another look.

Also, how are you activating the plugin? WordPress has built-in functionality to prevent plugins from being activated if the site does not meet its requirements. For example, activating SLB on a site with an unsupported PHP version would return the message:

Error: Current PHP version does not meet minimum requirements for Simple Lightbox.

Hi, Thank you so much for the quick reply. You are right… the Hosting company assured me that the domain is on 7.3 php but I uploaded a php version script and as you stated it is 5.6.40. I will take this matter up with them.

    Thank you for the help.

    Regards.
