• Our authors reported that they no longer can create new polls using the classic editor. Crowdsignal shows screenshots from the Gutenberg editor, however we do not use this editor.

How can we create polls again?

The “add poll” button in the classic editor also seems no longer to work. A popup opens but no polls can be selected.

    Hi @cbratschi

Thanks for the report. The plugin is going through a security and privacy review as of v3.0.0, with the most noticeable change happening on the wp-admin area.

The support note (link above) mentions how to access the old editor, or you can simply keep creating polls from Crowdsignal (using the credentials previously used for the plugin) and get the shortcode from the Share section of the poll.

If you want to continue using the old ways, you can uninstall the version 3.0.0 and install an older one from https://github.com/Automattic/crowdsignal-plugin/releases

We could not get it to work with the 3.x version. After downgrading to 2.2.6 (polldaddy.2.2.6.zip) everything worked again.

    Regards,
    Christoph
