classic editor – edit page issues

  • wordpress 5.1.1.

    If I edit any existing page / post with the classic editor everything works as usual.
    But if I update this page then I will no longer land in the dashboard but I get a white blank page with the url: https://www.example.com/wordpress/wp-admin/post.php

    In order to be able to access the page I must log in again or delete the last part of the url.

    Sounds like a (failed) redirect, perhaps. The only thing that comes to mind is to try the “standard” troubleshooting: switching the theme to one of the default, then disabling plugins one by one until you find which is doing that.
