    Hi

I am wondering what is the use of this plugin? You can simply deactivate the gutenberg plugin?

When Gutenberg is integrated in wp 5.0 will this work in wp 5.x as then Gutenberg is not a plugin or does it remain as a plugin?

When Gutenberg is no longer a plugin then this plugin called classic editor wont work anymore as it is checking if there is a plugin called “gutenberg.php”

Could you please explain to me above questions? Thank you !

    That’s the intention ??

For now this is a beta plugin (see the warning at the top). It requires the Gutenberg plugin to be installed and activated as it doesn’t make sense without it. Once the new editor is in core, Classic Editor will be updated to match the changes.
