• Alright guys,

First of all I would like to apologize in advance for asking a question that has been asked many many times, however I’ve tried almost everything and it still does not work.

On my front page of my website I have a email address collection form that gives users a free item for giving up their email. In the end, I want it to be connected directly to constant contact and add their email to the desired list. For now I have disabled all of that right now in hopes of getting any kind of email to send.

I am using WP-Mail-SMTP and am on Bluehost. My website sends emails from within that test form and from other parts of the website including woocommerce. CF7 however will not budge. When I go into network it seems like the POST function is working and the headers seem ok but I still get the dreaded red box. The from email address I am using is the same one as on WP-Mail-SMTP and I feel like I am missing something really simple.

    My website form is:

    Thanks,

    Phil

@chmaltsp – I tested your CF7 form “Subscribe to our newsletter and receive a free introductory course today!”

You may not be able to use the collected email address as the From: email address in CF7 on Bluehost.

    See https://buzztone.com.au/contact-form-7-email-issues/#properaddress

See also Contact Form 7 Email Issues. There is a link at the bottom of the page to a comprehensive and detailed article which covers many issues. Most people that work through this information appear to be able to resolve their email sending & receiving issues.

    Thanks for replying buzztone!

I have checked my From: Email address and even created a new one called [email protected], the email works and I can send emails from WP-SMTP-Mail with it. I went through all of Contact Form 7 email issues article and have come to the conclusion that its not a theme or plugin conflict, because it does the same thing no matter what. I think I’m going to contact bluehost and see if they can point me to some answers. I even completely deleted the plugin and re installed it and still had the same issue. What gives?

    Update:

Spent some more time with bluehost and double checked that my SMTP server is in fact working. Still looking for answers.

I’m having the same issue it seems 1 of 10 send correctly. Additionally I checked all my settings on WP_MAil_SMTP and those are fine.

@alex.justesen – As per the Forum Welcome, please post your own topic.

Posting in an existing topic and taking over the original posters question is generally considered inappropriate.

Added to which, your problem – despite any similarity in symptoms – is likely to be completely different.
