Clean 3.5.1 Install

your database files may think its a old version if you linked a database to your clean install. have you ran the update just to be sure? which host are you with?

Nope, 100% clean install – dropped database and recreate from scratch.

I go to the upgrade.php and it says everything is fine. Log in to the site and it says there’s an update to 3.5.1.

You don’t have the same issue and it doesn’t work well here to have more than one topic/person per thread.

To remove this message from WordPress go inside cPanel and update from there. Just like a first install you have to perform same step only change is that you need to update it. Backup your data first before any action.
