Submenus not working in mobile landscape mode

    I am building a new site using a child theme of Clean-box.

    When viewed on a tablet in landscape mode, in which the main menu remains visible, the submenus do not work properly. One can view them but when you try to click on anything either nothing happens at all or it’s as if you are hitting the right-click button.

    I am viewing my site on a Kindle Fire, and in Chrome’s Developer Tools simulation via my laptop.

    I have not modified the menu code except to change the color of the font for the active page and hover.

    If I cannot fix this, it is days and days of work down the toilet and I’ll have to start all over again.

    I have just discovered this problem is not limited to my theme, but is replicated when I view this very WP site on my tablet. So it seems the problem may be intrinsic to this latest iteration of WP.

    If so, any plans to fix?
