I have installed wordpress manually many times with no issues. I am trying the Microsoft Web Platform Installer as a test. everything looks good and installs great. From a clean install of server 2003, and 2008, (x64 or x86), no security or firewall besides the Windows firewall.

I can view the WP with no issues from the local machine. When trying to view from another machine i get text and no images or formatting. Is this normal with the MS Web Installer or am I missing something. My normal install routine is: Install MSSQL first before MS MS Web Installer, then run php install, then run wordpress install.

    Thanks for any help.

When you login to your blog (locally) head over to Settings -> General and check the URL values. Are they using localhost? If so, be sure to change them to either an IP or a resolvable DNS address.

Side Note: the MS Web Platform could be a pivotal piece for my organization as we are looking to deploy multiple sites, each with their own wordpress site. Figuring this would be great, as we prefer WordPress over Joomla, but the MS option installs Joomla with no issues.
