I help manage a site that uses a few recurring events. However, the way the recurring events are configured, they are set to recur 10 years into the future. This of course causes thousands of events to be created. Is there any way to clean this up so that events only get created, say, up to one year into the future, and for older events to be deleted as time goes on? Is there a good bulk method for managing recurring events?

  • The only way to do this would be to reduce the time span of the events to something less than ten years.

I’ve done that, but even though the recurring event shows a shorter time span, events created through 2028 still show up in the main Events list. Those are not being cleaned up once the original recurring event series has been updated for a shorter time span.

sorry at the moment this is how recurring events works, it will create single recurrences based on the date span and pattern.
