• I’ve got quiet a lot of plugins into my blog which caused a notably decrease in site response at the front and the back end of my blog, while my other blogs (on the same host) are on high speed.

I tried deactivating all plugins, use the default theme to compare the speed, and it is still very slow.

I think some plugins left some mess on the database or so, how could I clean it up?

Oh yeah. Many if not most plugins will leave orphaned entries behind long after they are gone. If you want to clean out the mess look in the wp_options table. This goes without saying but be very careful. If you’re not comfortable with editing the database directly you can try this plugin called Clean Options.

Hey thanks, I’m scared of using it though, because I can no where find any info if that is wp 2.5 compatible. I guess I’ll just backup my whole database and experiment with the link you gave ^^,
