I keep getting (daily) an email from Clean Talk that there is a “Warning” on a file that I have approved (numerous times). I’ve had them analyze it several times and it reports as safe. But I continue to get these warnings daily. How do I stop the daily email warnings? Example:

    Malware Issues TimeFeb 29 2024 18:42:04 Hostnameloftusweb.com Pluginwordpress-security-2.129 Scanned files2770 ResultWARNING

These files may not contain malicious code but they use very dangerous PHP functions and constructions! PHP developers don’t recommend to use such code. Besides, it looks very suspicious.

    Hello.

Please, deactivate the plugin with “Complete deactivation” option enabled and then activate it again.

    1. Enter the Security by Cleantalk plugin settings. (WordPress Dashboard -> Settings -> Security by Cleantalk -> General settings)
    2. Check the last settings “Complete deactivation” and save changes.
    3. Deactivate the plugin on the “Plugins” page in WordPress Dashboard.
    4. Then activate it.
    5. Enter your access key in the plugin’s settings.
    6. Launch the scanning and wait for a further report.

If the issue persists please, contact us via our ticket system https://cleantalk.org/my/support/open.

I followed the advice you provided (thank you) and upon a new scan, I had two “suspicious” files including the consistent “config-synced.php”. I did an analysis and it reported as safe (as usual) and I “approved” it. So far, so good.
