Clear browser history on button click

We have a non profit website that provides relief to women and children of domestic abuse. https://houseofruthinc.org is our website. So a very critical feature we need is – when someone clicks on ‘Hide this page’ , we need the history to be deleted. we have set it to google.com/news currently. The use case being, someone is looking for help and they don’t have time to clear history. Maybe their abuser comes suddenly. We contacted the theme support and they claim it is too much work. Is this really that complicated that a theme customer support cannot provide? Is there another work around? Please help!
