• I am quoting on building a site for an agency which assists women involved in violent relationships. One of the requirements in the brief is for the site to have a “clear history option” so the violent partners can’t find out via the browsers history that their partner has been looking for help.

Does anyone know if this is possible? I’ve searched for a few hours now both in plugins and the codex.

The other thing to consider is that SEO would still have to work.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    thanks in advance

  • From my knowlegdes, it should be very difficult to implement this kind of function !
…Because of the different number of internet browsers.

But I think it’s possible to find some javascript functions on the internet and adapt them into a WordPress plugin. But I don’t know if this already exists in WordPress plugins directory.

    Regards

I’m fairly certain you can’t do that via plugin
maybe one of these codes can help

many thanks to both of you.

The more I’m looking into it – I don’t think this can be done. After all, the web is full of porn sites that would utilise this option if it was available.

Looking at other sites offering support to abused woman and some have a link to instructions on how to clear the browsing history.

I’m beginning to wonder if that’s what they meant…

I think you are likely correct
