Hi there. Is there a way to repost a post to linkedin.

I’ve swapped LinkedIn accounts but previously posted posts still show they have been shared to the old account.

Can i clear this and resend to the new profile?

I’m grateful that you share and help with this plugin : )

    Thanks in advance

    Hi @morphim,

Yes, if you re-authenticate and add a new profile/page to share to then there’s nothing stopping you sharing old posts with the new profile. Just go into the post and click the “Share Now” button in the metabox as shown here: https://ps.w.org/wp-linkedin-auto-publish/assets/screenshot-5.jpg?rev=1876943 with the new profile selected. Thanks,

    Hi Martin

Thanks very much for the reply and instructions.
However, I forgot to mention that I’m using Woocommerce rather than posts. Therefore the share section you mention isn’t on the product edit page. I can share unshared products via the main product list (not shared – share now) but can’t clear the ones already shared to be able to reshare.

I know this is a big ask but is there a way to register your plugin to work with woocommerce products (I guess CPTs?)
Or some other way of clearing the shared status so they show as unshared?

A function or code hack would be really great if you are able.

    Thanks very much in advance

    Hi @morphim,

The plugin works with custom post types already. Please read the FAQ and check over the plugin settings to see all possibilities of the plugin. You can also reshare an existing post by going into the post, selecting the new profile and sharing the post by clicking the share now button. Thanks,

    Hi again.

Thanks very much for this (again : )
Apologies, I didn’t see the CPT setting at the bottom. Now the meta box displays on the product page, which is great. Thanks.

However, I’m still having a couple of problems.

When posted to Linkedin, the link back to the post just redirects to the homepage.
The reason for this, is that I have a 404 redirect for pages not found. I think the link back isn’t for the product page, so it can’t find it.
Is it something to do with the below?
I have sharing set to ‘simple’ them this:
    New Job: [POST_TITLE] – [POST_LINK][POST_EXCERPT]

Since they aren’t posts as such, is this a problem?

    Would ‘advanced’ over-ride this?

Also the & symbol is rendering as &amp and the ellipses are displaying as this […]
Is there a way to stop this and make them display properly?

Thanks very much again. I really appreciate your free plugin and that you support it.

Sorry. Ellipese displays like this (should have used the ‘code’ tag:

I’ve just seen that, when analysing the Linkedin return short url, the actual redirection is correct but it has placed /Test at the end of the url.

I have no idea where this has been generated from?

    Hi @morphim,

I am not sure, I recommend trying out a basic setup of the plugin with core WordPress a standard WordPress theme on a standard post and see how this works and then turn on your customisations whether it be plugins, themes, and custom post types and see where things are not working. The issues you are raising are unique to your environment. Thanks,
