    Hi,

I needed to clear my cache, because it took too much space. About 450MB. I think its quite a lot. And its not that i have so many posts about apps. (https://feeny.nl/blog)

Anyway, i needed to clean up i decided. And i cleared the cache. Also i don’t want to cache the images locally. And i have set the screenshots to hide.

Now, i understand all images are gone. But is there a way that only the app icon will be visible again? Because they are not there anymore.

Make sure that in the settings you have the “App Icon” selected under “Single Elements” for each type.

Also, Go to General –> Miscellaneous –> Cache Settings and turn off Caching.

Can you post a link to a page that has an app on it? My Dutch reading skills are not what they should be. ??

Not quite sure what you mean with: have the “App Icon” selected under “Single Elements” for each type. You mean in App Store -> Single Post?

The cache settings are turned off now.

    ?? And here is a post: https://feeny.nl/het-menselijk-lichaam-app/

Change it for Single, Multi and ATOM.

I tried your suggestion, but unfortunately that didn’t solved it. I also tried hiding and revealing the App Icon in the single post, but was also not the solution.
If i right-click on the broken image and i open it in a new browser tab the URL still shows this: https://feeny.nl/wp-content/uploads/appstoreassistant_cache/ Which directs a 403.

How are you adding the apps? Can you send me a couple App IDs that aren’t working and I will test them on my sandboxed site.

Thanks, your help is highly appreciated!

I always use the button in the wysiwyg editor. The first app inside this blog (https://feeny.nl/het-menselijk-lichaam-app/) uses the following code: [ios_app id=”682046579″ more_info_text=”open in App Store…”]

None of the app id’s are showing any image at this point.

When you go to the cache tab, does it show that the cache folder is writeable?

    (@jeroenonstenk)

I’m sure where to find the cache tab. Do you mean somewhere on the dashboard? Or a writeable folder via FTP?

Hmm, i guess i forgot the word ‘not’. I’m not sure where to find the cache tab.

Still no app icons showing up…

Ok, forget it. I’ve switched to your competition: WP App Store Connect.

In all fairness i really think you have a great plugin. But it’s too full with settings and pre defined styles. For some people this is great and easy. But for me it became too big of a hassle to adapt it to my themes.
And now recently with this cache issue, it became time for me to look further.
