I found that my WordPress site is not loading, but when I remove the file object-cache.php, it will work again. why is it happening?

and do I need to clear cache? anyway to do so?

    Thanks

    Hi @eblow,

    Thanks for the report.

I found that my WordPress site is not loading, but when I remove the file object-cache.php, it will work again. why is it happening?

It’s hard to say what this issue might be without additional detail. Here are some questions that might point in you in the right direction:

    • Is this site hosted on Pantheon or elsewhere?
    • If the site is hosted elsewhere, does it have all of the necessary PHP extensions installed?
    • When you say “my WordPress site is not loading”, can you describe in greater detail what you see? Do you see any output in your browser? What do you see in your error logs?
    • Does the problem also reproduce in a stock WordPress install with Twenty Seventeen active and no other plugins?

and do I need to clear cache? anyway to do so?

Nope, you shouldn’t need to clear the cache when you first install the plugin.

    1. It’s a shared hosting hosted in a VPS cPanel+CentOS server.
    2. It works in the first 2 weeks I installed, but suddenly stop working.
    3. screen has no error message, it just turned blank. no error log could be found? or where to check the best?
    4. will test with the basic theme again.

Thanks and will update you the result.

    Hi @eblow,

If you have Redis available on the server, I’d recommend you use WP Redis instead. It’ll probably be difficult to track down the cause of the issue, and Pantheon only offers full support for sites hosted on Pantheon.
