• After cleaning, there was not a single user left. Not the specific admin user with which I was logged in while running the cleaning, and not a new user called “admin” – The original “admin” had been deleted.

No matter what email address or username was typed into the “lost password” area, there was nothing found. Idiotic.

I had to manually reinstall WP to get back in, and then I FTP’d in to see how clean things were, where I found that although the /uploads folder had been completely cleared of files, the /plugins folder remained full of all the old plugins, and all of the /themes remained in place.

  • We apologize. There is a bug with removing all users when operation didn`t performed by user with username “admin”.

If you used the option “Re-install WordPress”, it is true, this option does not remove files of themes and plugins. This described in the plugin info. For this purpose use another option – “Deep cleaning”

    hello, Scott Hendison.
this bug is fixed in version 1.2.0
    thanks
