Click and change posts but stay on a page

Is it possible to have a series of posts on a page, but say one is shown and the rest are hidden, then when a link is clicked, it slides or changes to that post? I didn’t know if it was possible to do this with a jquery slider with overflow hidden somehow, and if anybody else has tried doing this before and if it’s plausible?

So imagine like an image slider, but instead of images, the posts, and the posts only change when a link to that post is clicked from say a side menu or something.
