Click any link within wordpress and the focus goes to a different browser window

    This issue is kind of difficult to describe, and is very weird (at least in my experience) so forgive me if I’m unclear here.

    When I’m in WordPress and I click on ANY link (publishing pages, moving around in wp-admin, etc.) the browser will switch to one of the OTHER open windows, throwing WordPress into the background while the link clicked continues to load.

    It’s important to note that this issue occurs regardless of browser used or computer tested on, although I have not tested it on a machine running Windows yet. Also, this only happens when I have more than one browser window open at once. If only one browser window is open, or all other windows are minimized everything behaves normally.

    It’s not being caused by any plugin because I have a duplicate of the exact same blog installed in a different location on the sever with all of the same plugins and modifications and no issues.

    I hope I can resolve this without having to reinstall WordPress, it’s driving me nuts.

    Okay so with a little more digging I found that the issue is isolated to the theme that I’m using, so WordPress is not at fault here. The author of the theme is apparently aware of the bug and hopefully will release a fix soon.

    I don’t think that this is a theme related issue because I use the default wordpress mu theme and I got the same behaviour.

    So anyone got any Idea ??

    Here I am again …I just deactivated Live Countdown Timer plugin and everything seems fine !!
