I saw this issue addressed on this forum. Dated 4 months ago and at the time it was sais to be resolved.
However, for me, it still doesn’t work although it was working before WP 3.9.

    My install is a multisite.

    – On sub-sites existing for a while: instead of the icons themselves, the admin widget shows “wp-monalisa icon” repeated as many times as the number of supposed icons. They are not clickable.

    – On a new sub-site I am making: the icons show perfectly in the admin widget but when clicking on an icon, nothing happens.

If you need more info, please ask.
    Thanks in advance.

    Thanks for replying quicly ??

    Main site : https://www.lascolana.org/
    Here it works perfectly.

Sub-site on which WP Monalisa used to work : https://fr.lascolana.org/
Here only the words “wp-monalisa icon” in place of each icon in the admin widget, and they are not clickable.

    New sub-site : https://bonjour.lascolana.org/
Here the icons show in the admin widget but they are not clickable.

Note: I disabled all plugins except WP Monalisa and the problem was the same. So it doesn’t seem to be a conflit problem between plugins.

    Thanks for your attention,
    Fran

Forgot one piece of info: on all sub-sites, the smileys work well in the comments. The problem occus only on the post/page editing.

Ah, okay, tha’ts interesting. Can you check if the wp-monalisa javascript is loaded when you edit page/post, please. Alternatively send me an admin account so I can check it myself.

Indeed I don’t know enough to be able to check that. So I just made you super admin on the site. You’ve probably been notified and received a password. If not, let me know, I’ll send it to you.
    Thanks very much ??

I changed one line and it seems tow ork now. I have to analyze whta the problem with this is_admin() function from WordPress and multisite. Seems it returns a different result on multisite blogs.

    Can you test it please.

I tested. Now it works on subsite “Bonjour” but still not working on other subsites (fr, en, es). On these, like before, no icons in the admin WP Monalisa widget when editing.

I can not change the plugin file on the other sub-sites. Maybe a permission problem. But you can just copy wp-monalisa.php to the other sites and it should work (hopefully).
