Clickable Thumbs to news articles

    Can anyone advise how I can achieve this in WP:

    I will be using WP as a CMS and not as a Blog. I wil set up my home page with a main block describing company.
    Below thi smain block I want to have different blocks that automatically pull in Latest News Articles.
    Can I:
    1) Display News articles blocks for a limited period; i.e. have a Start Date and End Date?
    2) Display the first part of the news article with a thumbnail image of say 100×100 that is pulled in and resized from the first image of the News article page which has the full size image, and maybe another couple of images. The image and a “read More” would be clickable.

    Are there any “Latest News” Plugins?

  • There’s not really a latest news plugin… but there’s the viva image plugin.

    Google the site and search their forum… he has a working example on his demo page of using images that to Post title on the sidebar
