Clicking anchor tag menu item affects display of Events List widget
-
I recently upgraded to WordPress 5.6 and Events Calendar 5.3.1. We use the basic “Events List” widget in the right sidebar of our homepage. Currently, we have no events scheduled, and when you first visit the homepage, it correctly shows the little icon of a calendar with an X in it and the message, “There are no upcoming events.”
However, if you click on “Contact” (which is a menu item set up with an anchor tag to #footer-acm), the view briefly positions correctly to the footer, but then after a second repositions to somewhere around the middle of the page, and suddenly the Events List widget is displaying a bunch of oversized calendar icons, a search bar, and an export link. This looks especially bad below the 1000px breakpoint, where these icons then expand to the full width of the window.
On my staging server for this website, I haven’t yet updated to WordPress 5.6 or Events Calendar 5.3.1, and this display issue does not occur.
Again, to see the display bug, visit our website homepage and click on the “Contact” link in the navigation bar. On screens under 1000px width, it positions to the footer properly, so to see the display issue, you have to scroll back up.
Thank you for your help with this issue.
