Clicking "Bid" and nothing happens

Just installed Ultimate Auction (free) and its looks awesome but I immediately ran into a puzzling problem. When I try to test my first two test auctions, after I enter an amount and click on Bid, nothing happens. The page darkens a bit, browser thingy spins and spins forever. (Latest Chrome on Windows 7)
