Clicking “Customise” in Pacific theme menu producing an error message

Thanks for your help with this issue.
i have two websites that use the Pacific theme, this error occurs on the child and parent theme when activated.
when i click “customise” from the wordpress, Appearance menu, i get this error message:

the site is running the latest version of wordpress 6.1.1 and the latest theme update.
can you please advise where the problem might be. as i say this happens with the Parent, and the Child theme on two different websites i manage with the Pacific theme.
