Clicking on the accept button doesn’t do anything – it just adds # to the URL.

    Hi @mortetm,

Please mention if you are using any cache plugin on your website. If it is a free plugin, please share the link of the plugin, else if you are using a premium plugin, please reach out to us by creating a ticket here.

I’m having the same issue on the iPhone and on the desktop. When I click “accept” the bar doesn’t disappear. I’m using a cache plugin and have tried clearing it.

    Do you know what’s happening?

    Thanks!

    Hi @jeannerrr,

Please mention which cache plugin you are using on your website. And please also mention the URL of the website you are having the issue with.

I have the same problem. No cache plugin, no console errors. Is it correct ?

OK, I switched to pure buttons and it works. I tried to adapt buttons to Bootstrap design and have a bit mouseover hover effect. But not so big deal.

    Hi @webtoffee,

I’m using SG Optimizer for my cache plugin and our website is: https://www.pacmin.com.

I have other plugins installed too so I’m listing out the ones that might affect caching just in case.
    JCH Optimize
    reSmush.it Image Optimizer

    Thanks!

    Hi @jeannerrr,

We have checked on your website and the cookie bar disappeared on clicking the Accept button. See the screenshot.

However, could you please add the Javascript files of the Cookie Law Info plugin under the Exclude Options tab in JCH Optimize plugin. Let us know of the results. If the issue still persists, please create a ticket in our premium support desk.

It’s still not disappearing for me. I also just realized I’ve been using “private mode” and “incognito” mode on my browser. Do you think this could have an effect?

I had changed the Cookie Law settings to auto-hide if user scrolls and auto-hide after 5 seconds to work around the bar not closing after hitting accept. I took off these settings and tried again and the bar did not close in private mode. I tried opening a normal browser. The bar doesn’t go away on click… but it did disappear after awhile. So I’m not sure if it’s really fixed or not.

I’ll submit a ticket through your support desk as requested.

    Thanks!
    JR

In case it worth, i had the same problem and a wp fastest cache installed was the problem, i deactivate in cache plugin the option “Combine Js to reduce …”, then i cleared de cache and the button starts working again.
