• Hello, great plugin – it’s easily the best sharing plugin I’ve come across in both ease of use and functionality. Keep up the good work!

One issue I’ve been having is that on any page (take https://imstillhungry.net/fat-duck-london-uk/ for example), when I click a sharing button (doesn’t matter if it’s FB, Twitter or Pinterest), it sometimes will jump-scroll the page back to the top, instead of opening the sharing box.

The funny thing is this only happens occasionally, but it’s actually more often than not. If you click around, you’ll soon see what I mean. Any ideas what’s happening here? An almost sure way to recreate it is to click through each of the three sharing buttons on an image (not the feature/cover image) and it is almost guaranteed to happen for that image.

    Regards,
    Michael

    Hi Michael,

if I see correctly you’re using Cloudflare and a caching plugin and that seems to be the issue. Like something in the process didn’t go properly. Basically, when you click the button, there’s a JavaScript error (that doesn’t say much about itself) that prevents plugin’s code from running. Please try to refresh the cache and if that doesn’t help, disable it to test things out.

Thank you for your fast reply!

I’ve currently disabled both Cloudflare as well as W3 Total Cache so that there is no more acceleration or caching going on. I still see the error pop up every now and then. It would appear to be less frequent, but it still happens within three clicks.

Any idea on what’s going on?

    Michael

    Hi Michael,

it seems like one of your plugins or the theme itself conflicts with the plugin. Essentially, it changes some of the html Frizzly adds and that pretty much causes errors in Frizzly. At the moment I don’t have an idea for an easy fix for you. If you’re using any plugins that have something to do with images, try disabling those and take a look if it helped. One thing I can say for sure – that’s neither Cloudflare’s nor W3 Cache’s fault.

    Hello,

I am having the same problem… I use both MaxCDN and W3 Total cache. Since most of the time my users are experience the “scroll to top” isso, I have the plugin disabled for the time being.

Is there anything I could do? I don’t know if the following information may help, but I made a quick test with other plugin of yours, jQuery Pin It Button For Images, and it worked without any issues.

    Best regards
