• I have just installed 3.6.1 for a new site, using the stylish-church-theme, and all appears to be working apart from when I go to the Media Library and click on Add New. The add image page appears and then the IE tab crashes. This also happens if I try to add a new slide and set the featured image.
    Any suggestions would be appreciated.
    Many Thanks

Can you try deactivating all plugins and switching to the Twenty Twelve theme to see if the issue persists?

    Hi Andrew,
Have just switched the theme and it does the same. IE then displays res://ieframe.dll/acr_error.htm#wrighthere.info,https://www.wrighthere.info/SMC1/wp-admin/media-new.php in the address bar.
As a test I tried in Chrome and images uploaded correctly.

    Thanks
    James

Is it a particular image that’s causing the issue?

I don’t even get to the stage of adding an images. IE starts crashing as soon as the add new page gets displayed.

Can you replicate the problem using the default Twenty Thirteen theme with all plugins deactivated?

    (@jmw894)

All plugins were disabled in both themes.

What themes? And what version of IE are you using?

Themes are Twenty-Twelve and stylish-church-theme. I am running Windows XP SP3 wih IE8.

IE8? Why such an older version? The current version of IE is version 10.

Simply because ie8 is the last version that is supported on Windows XP. ie 9 and 10 only work on vista and above.
