Clicking on "next" arrow in a gallery, leads to front page.

  • Using Weaver II theme. I have a gallery which I filter with a tag cloud. When the resulting gallery appears, if it is has more than one page and I click on the “next” arrow or “Page 2” etc, I am returned to the Home page. At your suggestion (on another thread)I have tried the following:-
    Temporarily switching to WordPress default theme > clear browser cache & reloading site
    – Deactivating all plugins (including NextGEN Gallery) > clear browser cache > re-activate NextGEN Gallery only & reloading.
    I also tried running the reset tool under Gallery > Other Options > Reset Options.
    But to no avail. If you try clicking on the “eco range” option in the tag cloud and then clicking on the “2” link on the resulting page you will see the behaviour. Note the URL appears to be correct but shows the home page instead.

    @primaveranz – I believe the rendering of the home page is actually the theme managing a 404 error condition … as it is, I also believe this is a known issue with some configurations using the tag cloud options although it is not consistently happening.

    You might look at trying to set under Gallery > Gallery Settings > NextGEN Basic Thumbnails option for number of images per page to zero (0), this may stop the pagination from occurring with tags that have more than you the current number of images set there.

    Consider it a work-around for the time being, we will have to investigate this further and may possibly need to see your site specifically as well.
