Cloned user role restriction not honoured

I created a new user role with the “Members” plugin. The DMC plugin provides a checkbox to include/exclude this role from the user listings via the shortcode [dmc_user_list]. The standard roles are selectable and display reliably depending on the DMC role selector. However, the new role has no influence, as all users are displayed, regardless of the NEW role setting.
