Cloning a site, Intermingled Databases?

    Hi Cory,

    I did a straight out of the box backup using your plugin. I remember years ago dealing with intermingled databases in Joomla. I plan on copying the site for a new website and changing the content to suit my needs. It’ll be on the same cpanel. Will have to content with this issue and how can I avoid it (using the same cpanel)?

    Not sure if I understand the question fully, but maybe this helps… The SQL file that Duplicator generates can only be connected to an empty database and cannot intermingle its tables with an existing database. However you can install the Duplicator package to a new database and then add the Joomla tables later, that is if you only have access to one database. However, if you have access to create multiple databases then you would want to keep them apart.
