    Hi,

I am having an issue at the moment cloning my site. The error I’m receiving is “Fatal error: Cannot redeclare get_file_description() (previously declared in /home/sites/6a/4/46f39da21e/public_html/wp-admin/includes/file.php:79) in /home/sites/6a/4/46f39da21e/public_html/1597400327845/wp-admin/includes/file.php on line 79”. I have disabled the cache folder before cloning and I am not using wordfence or any other security or redirection plugins.

I understand the error that is occurring, I just don’t know how to resolve it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated before I end up pulling all my hair out.

    Thanks

    Conor

    Hello Conor,

this error is caused by another plugin that includes file.php another time by using wrong use of dynamic file importing

For instance, I know two plugins that did it wrong: HC Custom WP-Admin URL or wordpress-to-hugo-exporter

So the only way to find out what plugin is responsible is to disable all plugins on the staging website one by one. You can do so by renaming the plugin folders via FTP.

Please let me know the name of the plug-in when you find it.

    Cheers
    René

    Hi Rene,

    Thanks for your reply.
I followed your device and discovered that the wp-stack-cache plugin located in the mu-plugin folder was causing the problem. I should’ve known as this plugin has caused me issues in the past when testing locally using WAMP.

Thank’s a million man. My hair follicles will live to see another day.

    Have a great day,

    Conor

Lol, good to hear that I saved your hair from turning into grey color:-)

Thank you for the feedback. It will be very worthful for other users, too.

    Cheers
