Hi, yesterday I created a popup using your plugin. I put an image in popup which appears with a 5 second delay, and I put a link inside the image, so when visitors click on this image, it opens another url on my website in new tab.

Also, I disallowed this popup to appear on all the posts of 1 category (I write all this information just in case if it’s needed to find quicker my problem).

However, I have a problem: when someone tried to visit my website, there appeared a short flash and disappeared, and no image was shown. So I started to experiment and turned on an option which allows other popups to stay opened, and my popup image appeared.

But the problem is, that now close button doesn’t work! In fact, I turned on all the alternative methods how to close popup in settings, and they don’t close it too. It always stays opened. And by the way: in preview mode this popup works perfectly.

I read some of your documentation and I tried to copy your plugin’s core styles and plugin’s theme styles in my website theme’s style.css file (and disabled both in your plugin), but it didn’t solve my problem.

And yes, all of this is happening on PC (I turned popup off on mobile phones and tablets).

Just in case, I use WordPress 5.6. All plugins are updated. And I also tried jQuery migrate helper plugin, but it didn’t help too.

At this moment I had to stop this popup from working.

I hope that you can help me solve my problem.

    What should I do?

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi @giorgos93

    Thank you for reaching out!

I’m sorry to hear you’re having this trouble on your site. It seems this might be a plugin or theme conflict. Could you please try the debugging process on this link –?Test if a Plugin or Theme Interferes with Popup Maker to see if there are plugin or theme conflicts that can cause this issue.

    Hope that helps.

If your issue is resolved please take a moment to rate and review the plugin.
If you still need help please message us directly at https://wppopupmaker.com/support/ with a test URL where we can check the popup.

Hi, Bel Imperial, thanks for the answer!

I did that was written in your instruction and I found, which plugin has a conflict with Popup Maker. The plugin is “Insert Headers and Footers“.

This plugin lets you insert any code or script in header, footer, or body of website.

However, I deleted ALL the code (Google Analytics etc) that I inserted in this plugin and popup still didn’t work. Only after this plugin’s deactivation popup started to close like it should.

So which side has to resolve this issue – your plugin’s team, or team of the plugin that I mentioned before?

Just in case, I will write them about it too.

Hope to see an answer from you soon about what to do to resolve this?

    Thanks in advance!

Since noone answered me, I had to delete all the code in “Insert Headers abd Footers” plugin and put this code straight in my theme. And I deleted the plugin.

However, for some reason it didn’t solve the problem, so I had to continue to search, what caused this problem. And now “Health Check” plugin that you recommended me shows that the problem is with “Table of contents plus” plugin that I have on my website. After I deactivate it, the problem that I mentioned in previous posts fully disappeared (btw the problem appeared on my posts that had table of contents)

So can you fix incompatibility with this plugin? Or tell me, what can I do on my side to fix it?

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi @giorgos93

    Thank you for your reply.

Apologies for the delayed response as we operate at reduced capacity during weekends. Usually, the popup functionality doesn’t work because of the script error of the other plugins or theme.

We are not sure what it is on the other plugin and we haven’t tested if Table of contents plus plugin is compatible with Popup Maker, and you may need to check which script error it is. Kindly refer to this link: Checking JavaScript Errors

Once you get hold of the error, kindly provide it on the plugin developer of Table of contents plus as they might be able to assist you with this issue since they have a better understanding of how the plugin is working.

Let us know if this fixes the issue or if you have any questions about this matter.
